Music Magazine. What I need to include…
Main Images
Images from the main article of the magazine, this means for example, if the weeks magazine has a main article on ‘Paramore’ which includes information that non of the competing magazines have then the magazine should boast this on the front cover with pictures of the band and a headline stating that this includes information that has never been heard. See Image 1 Overall
Above: This magazine clearly shows Paramore on the front cover, this shows the consumer that this weeks magazines main article is about them.
Sub Headlines
Subhead lines are present on pretty much every magazine out on the market, they are there to make the reader aware of what is present in the magazine. Sub headlines may also be promoting for band, for example a small starting off band would try to get on the front page of a music magazine because people may notice the unknown name and do research into the band.
Related Bands
The Magazine should include a tab at the somewhere on the front cover displaying what other bands have articles in the issue. Again this may also be promoting for new bands. See image 2 Bottom.
Competitions
In some magazines, there are competitions, this could be a factor to my magazine as it may encourage more people to buy the magazine.
Free Gifts
Another way of making sales on the magazine is to include a free gift in the issue. This would be the selling point for most issues of magazines which include a free gift. These can range from Cds to Guitar Picks and posters to stickers and badges. If new bands as such could get one of their songs on a Magazine CD this would lead to popularity boosts for the band.
