Media Contents Page Planning.
1. Title: At the top of the page I plan to have the same title as the front page, TRM in the same font and colours to continue the colour scheme. This will keep the Magazines colour scheme consistent so that it does not clash and look odd. The only Difference I will be making is the outline to TRM which will now be white instead of Black since the Background box where the logo will be will be black. Also I plan to have the words ‘This Week’ Instead of a simple ‘Contents’ title to the page to make it different to most. This will be in capitals to stand out more and be in white to contrast with the same black box it will be on.
2. Image: As the main image I plan to have a similar image as the front page image, to keep it consistent and to also be known that the band in the photo is going to be the main article of the issue. The Image will be in the same layout but possibly with out the instruments since that the front cover already shows who is who in the band. Underneath the main image I plan to have some Headlines possibly about what to expect about the above band or a very small article to make you want to read the rest of the article.
3. Contents (Right Side): The actual contents of the Magazine will be to the right of the images and split up into sections, Such as News, Live, Gigs, Interviews and Reviews Ect. The headings for each section will be similar to the main image, this being the font in capitals and White on a black box to stand out more. Each with the page numbers next to the corresponding article, the numbers should be a standing out colour, or either use the same Green Circle as the front cover on the headers since that stands out from the rest of the article.
4. Bottom of page: Underneath the main image and short article I need something to fill up the small gap; otherwise the contents page would look empty. I plan on something Such as a competition entry for something next issue, a small text about maybe a free CD or A subscription Form to be able to have the magazine delivered to your door each week.
5. Left Side: On the Left side of the Image, I am yet to decide what should be placed there since all it will be is a thin Column, a possibility is to have a list of every band what has been mentioned in the magazine, even if they don’t have a article and it is just a small mention of them, since in most music magazines there are many bands mentioned, a list of which bands seems appropriate with page references to each.
